Tessa Thompson and Lily James are moving into Little Woods, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

The Creed and Cinderella stars, respectively, are set to lead the upcoming indie film, also featuring James Badge Dale, Luke Kirby and Lance Reddick.

Written and directed by Nia DaCosta, Little Woods is produced by Rachael Fung and Gabrielle Nadig.

Little Woods, which is described as a modern Western and marks DaCosta’s directorial debut, sees Thompson and James playing Ollie and Deb, sisters who are driven to work outside the law to better their lives.

When chased by the authorities, she plans to abandon her plight, but gets dragged in even deeper upon a desperate plea for help from her sister.

Thompson, most recently of HBO’s Westworld, appears next in Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok and Alex Garland’s sci-fi flick Annihilation opposite Natalie Portman.

James, who recently starred in the miniseries War & Peace, adds the project to her upcoming slate, which includes Edgar Wright’s crime film Baby Driver and Joe Wright’s WWII drama Darkest Hour.
