Last week, Sufjan Stevens announced Convocations a new five-part collection of instrumental music to be released in weekly installments. The album follows the five stages of grief and is a tribute to Stevens’ biological father, who passed away two days after the release of The Ascension (2020). The full version of Convocations will be available May 6, and the physical edition will be released in August.
