Troubled Irish singer Sinead O’Connor claimed to have “Taken an overdose” Sunday afternoon at unknown hotel in a lengthy Facebook post on her verified account.
Fewer than two hours later, Irish police reported finding O’Connor “Safe and sound,” according to the Irish Web site breakingnews.
In her posting, O’Connor had called out her family for abandoning her in the months since she had a hysterectomy in August.
O’Connor said her family doesn’t deem her valuable, adding, “They wouldn’t know if I was dead until weeks from now if I wasn’t f-king informing them now.”
Taking away her children was the final straw, she wrote, before ending the note.
“Everyone is better off. Never ever do this to a woman again,” she wrote.
O’Connor has posted multiple rambling posts to Facebook in the past few days about her children and ex-husband.
