Watts Drakeo, who was one of the Los Angeles hip-hop stars, is now in prison for the rest of his “best” years after the Los Angeles Attorney General charged him with new charges, according to local writer Jeff Weiss, who followed the Drakeo case from the beginning and reported on it. Drakeo was charged with attempted murder in connection with an incident on December 10, 2016 in Carson, California, in which he and his team Stink allegedly tried to kill a rapper rival at a party, killing another man, Davion Gregory, 24. This is an outrageous decision, but it is fully consistent with the racist confusion in Los Angeles and the American criminal justice system. The jury considered both charges in the previous trial. However, as the prosecution has planned a new trial, a new trial is scheduled for 3 October to decide the final fate of Drakeo. The next trial date for Drakeo is October 3, when a motion to dismiss the case will be filed. It is unlikely that he will receive bail at that time.
