Actress Rose McGowan has been one of the loudest and most persistent voices speaking out against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, who has been accused of serial sexual harassment spanning several decades.

McGowan claimed Weinstein raped her and later attempted to pay her in exchange for her silence.

The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police Department confirmed to The Washington Post that it obtained a warrant for the arrest of McGowan for the possession of a controlled substance, a felony charge.

The warrant was obtained on Feb. 1, and police said they have tried to contact McGowan so she can appear in court in Loudoun County, Virginia, to respond to the charge.

McGowan responded with an angry tweet, calling the warrant “a load of” horse manure.

“Are they trying to silence me?” McGowan said in the tweet.

If McGowan “Would have taken that million dollars in hush money I’m quite sure this wouldn’t even be a headline,” writer Ashlee Marie Preston said in a tweet, retweeted by McGowan adding the word, “FACT.”.
