After World War II she became famous in post-war Paris when she released her first single “Je Suis Comme Je Suis” in 1951 and her first album “Juliette Gréco – Chante Ses Derniers Succès” the following year. Greco was born in 1927 in Montpellier, France, and performed in the French lyrical genre of popular music “Chanson Francaise”. In the 1950s and 1960s, Greco has starred in numerous films, including Jean Cocteau’s Orphan and Ernest Hemingway’s 1957 Sunrise too. “Juliette Greco died on Wednesday, surrounded by her family in the house that she so loved.
