BLACKSBURG, Va. – The first half was interesting, which meant Ohio State’s 2015 season had a shot at being interesting, and we mean interesting in the sense that maybe t would be some games that are close.

Subsequently the second half happened, and somehow the Buckeyes left Blacksburg with an extremely comfortable 42-24 win over Virginia Tech on Monday night.

In the opener to Ohio State’s 2015 season, we saw Cardale Jones and J.T. Barrett play quarterback, and Braxton Miller take over the game with a series of dazzling plays in the third quarter that put things out of reach.

Doug Lesmerises, Ari Wasserman and Bill Landis break it all down in the video above.

The Buckeyes will host Hawaii in their home opener next Saturday at Ohio Stadium.

Perhaps that’s definitely going to function as the vibe from now until November when Michigan State comes to Columbus, and the Buckeyes close things on the road at Michigan.

Because if Monday night revealed anything, it’s that Ohio State might be heading for some lopsided wins against its program.
