The Portokalos family is back, bigger and Greeker than ever!

“My Big Fat Greek Wedding” scribe and star Nia Vardalos debuted the trailer for “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2,” the highly anticipated sequel to the 2002 romantic comedy on Wednesday’s “Today” show.

Though more than 13 years have passed since the original film, the second installment sees the return of protagonist Toula and Ian, her non-Greek husband as they navigate Greek life, their mixed marriage and parenthood.

“Full House” alum John Stamos and actress Rita Wilson, who are both of Greek heritage, also are slated to appear in the film.

“We gatd the entire family back,” Vardalos said on the NBC morning show.

“Everyone in the first movie is back for the second movie. We filmed in the same locations. We have the same producers. We are still a small independent film now being released by the behemoth Universal Pictures. But you know, we are still the same family and we’re really close, and we had a great, great time.”

The original film was a runaway hit shot on a meager $5 million budget that grossed more than $241 million at the domestic box office.
