Some local New York Mets fans are not happy with the Facebook-only telecast of this afternoon’s game between the Mets and Phillies at Citi Field.

First, the game got delayed from a 1:10 p.m. start to 2:45 p.m. because of the rain and now fans are having trouble tuning into the game.

“It’s been a choppy experience,” said one Met fan on a Facebook post.

The Facebook-only telecast – named Facebook Watch – is Major League Baseball’s first digital-only game broadcast, according to MLB.com.

To view the game on a smart TV, viewers should download the video app onto the TV or streaming device and do a search for MLB Live.

Viewers also can stream the game from a mobile phone to a TV that is on the same WiFi network by clicking on the TV icon, according to MLB.com.

In all, MLB plans on doing 25 of these Facebook-only games.
