Shortly after news broke of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s surprising divorce, Page Six reports that Jolie Pitt is filing for separation after discovering with a private investigator that her husband was having an affair with actress Marion Cotillard.
“She hired a private eye because she felt that he was fooling around with her on the set, and it turns out, he was. And that was the final straw,” an anonymous source told the newspaper.
Pitt and Cotillard are currently co-starring in a new film, Allied.
TMZ, who broke the story, originally reported that t was “No third person” involved in the split, and Jolie Pitt’s decision to separate was solely based on her husband’s parenting tactics.
Sources also told the site that Angie was “Fed up” with Brad’s consumption of weed and possibly alcohol, and what she calls an “Anger problem.”
Jolie Pitt filed for “Dissolution of the marriage,” according to a statement by her attorney, on Sept. 15.
She has reportedly asked for physical custody of her and Brad’s six children together, and asked that he only receive legal custody, along with visitation rights.
