Rideshare drivers are already feeling the heat about drop-off locations for Nashville’s July 4 celebration.

Taxis and rideshare drivers will have to drop passengers several blocks away from the action in downtown Nashville on Wednesday in designated zones.

Uber driver Michael Macmiller said he has already had to pay a $100 ticket.

Another driver, Jamie Taylor, took to Facebook saying an officer told her if she didn’t go to one of the designated rideshare locations she would be ticketed.

T are three designated pickup/drop off locations for Wednesday night’s 4th of July celebration for rideshare passengers.

Police said the idea is to keep people safe and traffic moving, but several drivers and, especially their riders, said the locations are too far.

So heading into the celebration, police and rideshare drivers alike are asking people to be patient.
