The One Direction boys may be in their own directions for the time being, but Liam Payne is feeling some 1D love on his birthday.

In the early hours of Payne’s 24th birthday Tuesday, Niall Horan took to Twitter to make sure the “Strip That Down” singer got a shout-out from at least one of his former bandmates.

“Happy birthday mate. Miss ya bud , see ya soon,” Horan tweeted at Payne.

It didn’t take long for Payne to send the love right back, tweeting at Horan “Thanks man – love to you and yours.” Cue the awws from Directioners everyw.

Both Horan and Payne have been an eventful last few months musically, as Payne released his debut solo single “Strip That Down” in May and followed it up with Zedd collaboration “Get Low” – the former of which just reached its peak position at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Horan isn’t far behind on the Hot 100, either, with “Slow Hands” sitting at No. 14.

Simultaneous with Payne’s birthday, Horan kicks off his Flicker Sessions 2017 tour on Aug. 29, starting in Dublin and taking his up-close-and-personal acoustic show to 21 cities around the world.

Payne has yet to announce a tour of his own, but has hinted that he has an album on the way.
