Chicago DJ Chris Bank$ and hip-hop artist and curator Chris Cap collaborated on the party, which takes place a day before Jay-Z visits the United Center for the Chicago leg of his 4:44 tour.
Expect D’USSÉ drink specials, music from Roc-A-Fella and Roc Nation artists and, of course, favorites from Shawn Carter, courtesy of DJs Chris Bank$, Toure and Slot-A. Two guests will also win tickets to Tuesday’s concert.
To help set the mood, artist Daniel Wilson – you may have seen his “Forgotten Souls” mural outside of The Violet Hour – spent about 20 hours creating a Jay-Z portrait for the Deadbolt space.
The bar plans to feature more work from local artists in 2018.
