It looked like a scene straight out of Total Request Live, transplanted to Hollywood 20 years later – right down to a cameo by Carson Daly.

Throngs of screaming fans gatd in Tinseltown Monday as boy-band hall of famers ‘N SYNC got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which meant a rare full reunion of its five dreamboat deities: Lance Bass, Joey Fatone, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick and, of course, Justin Timberlake.

Has t ever been a more perfect way to celebrate April 30 – otherwise known as the day before IT’S GONNA BE MAY?

“This is so surreal,” Timberlake told fans from the podium.

“They’re the reason that we were able to even be w we were in the world,” Timberlake said following introductions by Daly and Ellen DeGeneres.

Apart from Chasez noting the date with a last-minute “It’s gonna be May!” into the microphone, they didn’t perform.

Fans spontaneously broke into Tearin’ Up My Heart, but the band declined to sing.

“I love these four guys, we’ve had an incredible ride, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds,” Timberlake said.
