UPDATE: Fetty Wap’s management has released a statement on the accident, according to the Fader.

“Fetty Wap was involved in a bike event earlier today,” the statement read. “He was treated in a local hospital and is in stable condition. His family wants to thank everyone for their outpouring of support and love. They ask that you respect their privacy in this time period. We will provide an update on his state as it becomes available.”

Fetty Wap was involved with a motorcycle accident Saturday afternoon in his hometown of Paterson, New Jersey.

The “Trap Queen” rapper was riding his motorcycle when collided head on with another vehicle, TMZ reports, adding that paramedics treated Fetty at the scene before transporting him to a nearby hospital to analyze him for potential fractures.

An associate of the rapper, DJ Louie Styles, later tweeted photos of an attentive Fetty in the hospital and ensured supporters that “He’s okay.” In the photo, a splint is seen fixing the rapper’s leg.

Another Twitter user named DJ Akademiks posted photographs of a “Reactive” Fetty being stretcd into a waiting ambulance along with the wreck the rapper’s bike incurred in the crash.

The accident comes just one day after Fetty Wap released his self titled debut record, which features the hits “My Way,” “679” and “Trap Queen.” On Thursday, the rapper posted of himself riding a motorcycle before a concert in Clifton, New Jersey video.

“Even when the record don’t go anyplace, that doesn’t mean nothing to me,” Fetty Wap recently told Rolling Stone.
