A judge has reportedly ruled that Bindi Irwin will have to prove her father is dead, before she can be awarded her pay for Dancing With The Stars.
Legal fight: A report claims Dancing With The Stars favourite Bindi Irwin will not be able to claim her pay for the show until the judge gets proof her late father, who died in 2006, will give up the rights to the money.
The report states that lawyers for the US show submitted a minor’s contract to an L.A. Superior Court judge, a required procedure as Bindi is a minor at 17.Bindi’s mother Terri signed a form stating she gives up all rights to any money her daughter will earn from the hit show, but TMZ claim the judge also asked for the same release from Bindi’s dad.According to the report, without proof of Steve giving up his rights to Bindi’s money, the judge ruled that ‘the court is unable to find that it is in the best interest of the minor to be bound by the terms of the contract.

After the performance Bindi had an emotional outpouring, succumbing to tears as she recalled her father’s memory, and had to be comforted by her dance partner Derek.
