Anthony Vasquez, born and raised in Los Angeles, California, who writes and records under the name Otis Kane, discovered his passion for music at a very young age. The R&B rising sensation Otis Kane impressively follows his 2020 debut, Therapy, with his new EP Growing Pains. His then-football coach had connections in the music industry, which led to his first recording studio experience. It begins at the end with “Fighting for You,” which is about a deep love that goes beyond the honeymoon, and they fight for each other every day. Otis explains, “I know we each have our own path, which is very different, but I hope people will hear mine and find common ground, comfort and love.” After his journey, Otis opened a studio in Los Angeles called STRZ Enterprises. STRZ became a Hollywood hot spot, often visiting superstars before he left to follow his own path as an artist. With classic R&B influences and honest songwriting, “Growing Pains” is surprisingly refreshing and heart soothing. From that moment on, Vasquez knew he wanted to make music. The project is an evolving love story that begins with the end of one relationship and moves into a new one.
