On Friday morning, President-Elect Donald Trump and Celebrity Apprentice host Arnold Schwarzenegger got into a bit of a Twitter tiff.

As much as I respect Schwarzenegger’s decision to walk the high road Trump has never set foot on, I think he’s ultimately making a mistake.

A long, thought-provoking quote from our greatest president? Does he really think Trump is going to muster up the attention to spend a whole one minute and nine seconds of his time on that?

If Schwarzenegger and Stallone can bury the hatchet in the name of a lucrative box-office gross, why can’t Schwarzenegger and Trump?

To which I would reply: When has Trump ever turned down an obvious, self-aggrandizing way to massage his own insatiable ego? Remember: This is the same Donald Trump who eagerly made cameo appearances in The Nanny, Spin City, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and something called NightMan, which followed a saxophonist-turned-superhero who is “Telepathically tuned to the frequency of evil” after he gets struck by lightning.

Do you really think Trump would be able to resist the chance seeing his airbrushed scowl on a movie poster, scowling at one of the biggest action stars in Hollywood history, in movie theaters across the world? Write Trump a scene w he gets to say “You’re fired” and drop Schwarzenegger off a skyscraper, and I guarantee he’ll show up on the first day of filming, hair deftly chiseled into place.

As a happy bonus, this little side project would keep Trump on a Hollywood set and out of the Oval Office for a month or two, allowing the actual adults to get some actual work done.

At least find a little cameo for Trump in The Expendables 4.
