Toward the end of Monday night’s debate, Hillary Clinton blasted Donald Trump for calling a former beauty contestant “Miss Piggy” and a “Housekeeper” because she was Hispanic.
Clinton then said Machado just became a citizen and was going to vote against Trump.
Clinton was referring to former Miss Universe Alicia Machado, an actress and television personality from Venezuela.
Machado won Miss Universe while representing Venezuela in 1996, a beauty pageant owned – and formerly judged – by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
In an interview with Inside Edition in May, Machado claimed Trump publicly called her an “Eating machine” on the Howard Stern Show.
“I so proud and inspiration to be a U.S. Citizen! I’ll be Voting!” Machado posted to Instagram.
