5 Seconds of Summer and One Direction fans have united to fight back after the hashtag #5SOSisDeadParty started trending.
Yesterday extracts from the chat with the boys – Luke Hemmings, Calum Hood, Ashton Irwin, and Michael Clifford – were released online and fans were left shocked by some of the comments, in particular those about sleeping with fans.
The 5SOS fans also took to Twitter to thank 1D fans in t thousands for their help.
Yesterday 5 Seconds of Summer ‘s Michael Clifford praised the band’s fans amid the controversy.
The guitarist appeared to hit out at the piece as he claimed their fans as the reason the band exists.
He tweeted: “i hate when people include everything in an article EXCEPT the reason we’re a band; the fans”.
Of course the idea of a band sleeping with girls on tour isn’t novel but it has hit the 5SOS fans hard.
