Here’s how to check out the Willie Nelson tribute that’s airing tonight.
Nelson received the Gershwin Prize from the Library of Congress back in November, when the special tribute was taped, but PBS is showing it for the first time tonight.
“I think this is one of the most appropriate songs that we could do for this period in America. Many years ago, I recorded this song and I felt like this might be a good time to kind of try to bring it back.”
PBS has a link to last year’s special, which honored Billy Joel, online.
Perhaps the Nelson special will be made available after it airs on television.
