He was the first hip-hop act to top the Billboard Charts in 1990 with Ice Ice Baby.And over 25 years later, Vanilla Ice is touring the world with the ‘I Love The 90s’ tour, which stops in Melbourne on Wednesday.

He wore a comfortable navy blue sweat suit, fitted hat, dark sunglasses and white high-top sneakers.

Vanilla Ice, real name Robert Matthew Van Winkle, was later seen sitting on the kerb as he waited with a friend for a ride.

Vanilla Ice was joined by fellow headliners Cheryl ‘Salt’ James, 51, Sandra ‘Pepa’ Denton, 52, as well as Dede ‘DJ Spinderella’ Roper, 45.The pioneering rap trio looked a little tired as they stepped off their flight, with Salt and Spinderella offering faint smiles as they waited for their luggage.

The two acts will be joined on stage by boy band Color Me Badd and rappers Coolio, Tone Loc and Young MC.The tour kicked off in New Zealand on June 3 and has already made stops in Auckland, Christchurch and Adelaide.

Wednesday night is Melbourne’s turn to host the line-up of ’90s acts, with dates in Sydney, Brisbane, Darwin and Perth coming up.
