Dwyane Wade’s appreciation for high fashion drew greater appreciation Tuesday, with TNT’s entire Inside the NBA panel and broadcasting crew wearing Wade-inspired neckwear designed to benefit the SagerStrong Foundation.
As part of their partnership with the Miami Heat guard, The Tie Bar is offering exclusive tie and pocket-square designs to benefit the foundation working in support of colorful TNT sideline reporter Craig Sager, who is battling acute myelogenous leukemia.
The foundation works with various charitable partners to support the treatment of those suffering from blood cancers and AML. Information on the foundation can be found at www.
In support of their co-worker, TNT’s Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith and Ernie Johnson Jr. wore the Wade-inspired design on the studio set during TNT’s Tuesday coverage of the Western Conference finals game between the Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder.
“This is all part of an initiative, D-Wade is with TheTieBar.com and this is all for blood cancers and Sager Strong,” Johnson said during Tuesday’s pregame show.
Johnson then turned to Sager and said, “This is great stuff Sages, just another example of how many folks are supporting you and your fight and all you’ve meant in the course of the last couple of years in your battle with leukemia and working through that.”
This marks the eighth time Wade has partnered with The Tie Bar, with this latest collection now available for purchase online and at The Tie Bar’s Chicago flagship store, in addition to a one-weekend-only New York flash pop-up shop at 171 Elizabeth Street in the Nolita neighborhood from June 9 to June 12.
