Doing a double take! Reese Witherspoon and her 16-year-old daughter Ava practically look like twins in a sweet mother-daughter photo that the Big Little Lies actress shared via Instagram on Friday, July 8.
“Mother daughter time,” Witherspoon, 40, captioned the closeup, along with a string of red heart emojis.
In the image, the Oscar winner and her eldest child share the same bright blue eyes, close-mouthed smile, and sun-bleached hair.
One small difference between the pair is Ava’s tiny nose ring, which is just barely visible in the sunlit selfie.
In addition to Ava, Witherspoon and ex Ryan Phillippe also share son Deacon, 12; she and second husband Jim Toth are parents to son Tennessee, 3.
In April, Witherspoon proudly told Us that despite their similar appearances, Ava is definitely the “Cooler” one.
“We try to confer about new styles,” she added.
“[Ava] tells me whether or not I can wear things.
