COPLEY, Ohio – Once Copley RB Weston Bridges got his football scholarship offer to Michigan State on Saturday, he knew right away East Lansing was the place for him.

Bridges made his college intentions official on Wednesday, announcing through video that he had committed to Michigan State.

“When one of the top programs in the nation shows you that they care about you as a person, more than a player, then it really means a lot,” Bridges said.

“Michigan State caught my eye from once Le’Veon Bell was t,” Bridges said.

As a junior, Bridges led Copley to a 9-2 record and rushed for 1,624 yards and 29 touchdowns.

“One of my goals is to get the job done every possession. I want to get the job done, no matter if I have to make the juke move, run somebody over, break away from somebody catching the ball,” Bridges said.

Once Bridges got his offer from MSU, he knew right away that it was the place for him, and he didn’t have much interest in waiting to make his decision.
