Prince’s ex-wife Mayte Garcia is “Devastated” about the loss of her former husband.
“I can’t even think of the words of what I’m feeling,” Garcia said.
Garcia met Prince at one of his concerts when she was only 16 years old.
The young dancer joined Prince’s band after graduating high school and later provided the inspiration for one of Prince’s most famous songs, “The Most Beautiful Girl in the World.”
The two married in 1996 when Garcia was only 22, and would tragically lose their son later that year to Pfeiffer syndrome.
“I loved him then, I love him now and will love him eternally,” Garcia captioned her photo.
