Lady Gaga has been, as they say, everyw this past week, in support of her new album, Joanne, which was released on Friday.

She also found time to make some controversial comments about Madonna, engage in a Twitter scuffle with the Chainsmokers, and release an Apple Music ad. Gaga’s Saturday Night Live performance featured the stripped-down, country-influenced Gaga that characterizes her aesthetic in this Joanne era.

Joining her at Studio 8H to offer his support was, yes, Bradley Cooper.

Gaga is due to star in Cooper’s forthcoming A Star Is Born, and the two have seemingly struck up a friendship as they begin work on the project, hanging out toward the end of the summer on a number of occasions.

Gaga posted a photo on her Instagram account of Gaga and Cooper, backstage after the show, writing, “LOOK who showed up to watch me perform! what a guy. Talkin’ creative and enjoying some backstage fun.”

Cooper-dressed in all black-is doing an adorable sort of “Will you please take a look at this amazing, talented person?!” hand gesture, while Gaga leans against the wall in a casual purple fur wrap.

“Bradley I texted you about that the other week?” Gaga might say.
