Hopefully, we’ll hear news of a farewell match for the Olympic Gold Medalist.
Angle did an interview with former WWE ring announcer Lillian Garcia on her podcast, and he named Styles as the one guy he’d like to face in his last match.
“The one that I would really love to have a final match with right now is the kid that’s the hottest right now in WWE and that’s AJ Styles,” Angle said.
I have never had a match with anybody that’s been so easy, and every time I worked with him it was a five-star match.
Having already worked with Styles makes a match between the two all the more plausible.
It’s easy to see how Styles could transition into something with Angle as the hype for WrestleMania starts to grow.
He’s clearly a talent fit for a final match with a legend.
Perhaps the only way to combat this issue is for Angle to state: if I win the match, I’ll vacate the title live on Smackdown two days after WrestleMania.
