The Cyclones have been occupying space in the Rivals.com top-25 team recruiting rankings for 2017.
Scout.com has Iowa State ranked several notches lower but still in the top 35, territory the Cyclones have never navigated into since the recruiting network was formed.
Iowa State has muscled its way up the rankings ladder, in part, thanks to quantity, which can distort the picture.
