The release will be a remastered version of the original album, in the form of an album for a wooden wind piano and 2 vinyl rarities including EP Signal to Snow Ratio and EP Through a Frosty Plate Glass, first released on vinyl. California indie rock band Grandaddy celebrates the 20th anniversary of their 2000 LP The Sophtware Slump by reissuing the LP and releasing a new piano edition of the album. The Sophtware Slump on a wooden piano, lead author Jason Lightle plays on the piano a solo of the whole album. “Because of the pandemic, I suddenly faced a real deadline to do the damn thing,” Jason Lightle said on the wooden piano in a press release.
