Felicity Jones appeared more downtrodden than delighted on Sunday, as she was spotted filming scenes for her upcoming legal biopic On The Basis of Sex.The 34-year-old actress was spotted in classic 1950s clothing for the scenes in Montreal, to play US Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Rocking a double-breasted teal coat and red lip, Felicity looked as if she had stepped right out of the cinematic golden age as she filmed the scenes.
Felicity took on the role of Ginsberg after Natalie Portman dropped out of the film, shortly after welcoming her daughter Amelia, although it is not known whether this is the reason she chose not to take part.
On The Basis of Sex will document Ruth’s rise to becoming a US Supreme Court Justice, the first Jewish woman to do so.
Felicity will co-star in the film with Armie Hammer, who will play Ruth’s real-life husband Marty and it seems the film will also show the pair’s nuptials.
Other stars appearing the film include Misery star Kathy Bates and Leftovers star Justin Theroux, and the flick will be directed by Mimi Leder.
While the film does not yet have a release date, it is expected to hit cinemas in 2018 in line with the 25th Anniversary of Ginsberg’s time as a Supreme Court Justice.
