Amy Heckerling just revealed who she wants to play Cher in Clueless: The Musical – and we’re totally buggin’!
“I love Katy Perry,” the 61-year-old filmmaker told Vulture.
Finding the perfect cast to play the Bronson Alcott High School socialites was one of Heckerling’s biggest concerns.
When ET caught up with Hecklering in June, she admitted casting was “Going to be the main problem.”

Whoever is cast, Heckerling promises that fans will be totally into the music – although still no details were given on the potential songs.
“It is true to the movie, but it sings, hopefully.”
Although Clueless is expected to hit the stage in 2016, Heckerling says her excitement is making her a bit impatient.
“If it were up to me it would be tomorrow,” she shared.
