Charlie Puth has been killing the pop game since his hit “See You Again” spent weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100.

Though little new music has come from the pop singer since the release of last year’s Nine Track Mind – aside from current Hot 100 hit “Attention” – fans will be happy to hear that new music from Puth is in the near future.

On Friday Charlie Puth stopped by TODAY for a Citi Concert series performance and shared details about his new album, announcing that it will be called Voice Notes and is due out this fall.

In an interview with the TODAY hosts, he said the album got its name because he used his phone’s Voice Notes app to help him create every song.

Puth also shared that he is producing the entire album and that it’s almost done, but may preview a couple songs to fans this summer on his tour with Shawn Mendes before releasing the LP. In addition to his interview, Puth also performed his romantic pop hits, “One Call Away,” “We Don’t Talk Anymore,” “Suffer,” and “Attention.” Of the performance, Alex Ficquette, TODAY’s Plaza Producer told Billboard, “I think what stands out most about this one is the wide range of fans. You’ve got sorority sisters from college who are on summer vacation together all the way to moms and dads. It runs the spectrum of all ages, and they’re just as passionate.”
