Former “Voice” coach shares recent memories from artist’s final concert.

“The View” had Sheila E. and CeeLo Green on via satellite Friday to remember their friend Prince, who died suddenly a day earlier.

Sheila E., who actually was engaged to Prince at one point, called the artist’s death “Devastating surreal.” The drummer immediately flew to Minneapolis to be with the 57-year-old “Purple Rain” star’s family.

CeeLo shared his recent memories from what would end up being Prince’s final concert, an intimate piano-based Atlanta show that took place just last Thursday.

The former “Voice” coach called it “Amazingly wonderful.”

Green also spoke about opening for and performing with Prince, calling the artist’s acceptance “One of my greatest accomplishments in my professional life.”

Sheila E. goes back way further with Prince, and she remembered the old days – the 1970s – when they first met.

She was also sure to thank the fans and express how important they were to the late musician.

“He wrote music for you, he loved the people. This is why he did what he did and worked so hard,” she said.
