Fans are fuming over the new Cars 3 trailer, which shows beloved car Lightning McQueen crashing and burning on the speedway.
In the clip, released Monday, November 21, the classic red race car spirals out of control.
Badly scorched, Lightning McQueen flips through the air in slow motion as embers cover the track.
The Disney/Pixar movie’s description on YouTube explains that Lightning McQueen is feeling pressure to keep up with the younger and faster cars.
“Blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast racers, the legendary Lightning McQueen is suddenly pushed out of the sport he loves,” it says.
