Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton are officially divorcing following a four-year marriage, a representative for Shelton affirmed Monday to CMT. The divorce was reported by The Associated Press and TMZ, with TMZ adding the divorce records were filed in Oklahoma and that financial arrangements will soon be set by way of a prenuptial agreement.

“This isn’t the future we imagined, and it’s with heavy heart that people move forward separately,” the couple said in a statement to E! “We’re real people, with real lives, with real family, friends as well as co-workers. Tfore, we kindly request seclusion and empathy concerning this very personal matter.”

It Is the 2nd marriage for Shelton, 39, and the first for Lambert, 31.

Shelton was married to Kaynette Gern from 2003 until 2006.

Shelton and Lambert met in 2005 when they teamed up to sing “You’re the Reason God Made Oklahama” on CMT’s 100 Greatest Duets concert special.

They were wed on May 14, 2011, at the Don Strange Ranch near Boerne, Texas, a community located approximately 45 minutes from San Antonio.
