He explains: “I had a collection of songs I liked, some of which I tried on tours back and forth, and they were very good, only with piano and voice. This collection of five songs is the last in the EP series after “Letter to strangers” in 2019 and “Piano Tapes Vol. I wrote this song in the middle of a very difficult period in Los Angeles, and then I played it on tour last year, and it kept coming back to my psyche. Benoit will perform live at the London Jazz Festival on December 1.
