LAKE ELSINORE: Pop star Ariana Grande licked, spit on doughnuts.
Pop star Ariana Grande appeared to lick unsold doughnuts on the counter during a late-night visit to Wolfee Donuts in Lake Elsinore on Saturday, July 4, based on the store’s owner.
The 22-year-old singer seemed to be waiting until workers weren’t looking for her prank, said owner Joe Marin during a phone interview Tuesday.
Marin said he was horrified when he seen the video, which he shared just with all the celeb paparazzi website TMZ. In the video, Marin said Grande along with a male companion are seen talking and giggling in close proximity.
Grande seems to lick a white doughnut along with the young man follows suit, he explained.
Grande requested to see more doughnuts and when the employee walked to the rear of the store to get another tray, the singer and her companion also spat on a doughnut, Marin said.
When contacted, Grande’s manager, Jen Merlino said – through giggles – she was just discovering of the event and had no opinion.
A former child actress, Grande was the breakout star of the Nickelodeon TV series “Victorious” and “Sam and Cat.” Her chart-topping singles contain “Bang Bang” and “Dilemma.” She has been nominated for two Grammy awards and is currently working on her third studio album.
Marin said he at first worried the doughnuts may happen to be sold to unwary customers, but is skeptical because employees are trained to dispose of unsold doughnuts at midnight each night.
