A Colombian soap-opera star and her husband died Tuesday in a tragic car accident, according to local media.
“Vecinos” actress Adriana Campos, 36, and her husband, businessman Carlos Rincón, were driving near Colombia’s Department of Antioquia when Rincón lost control of the car, reports Colombian news site NoticiasRCN.
Campos and Rincón, who married last year, had a 1-year-old baby boy, according to the Latin Times.
The actress, whose 15-year career included stints in film, television and theater, garnered two nominations at the Mexican television awards Premios TVyNovelas – one for best supporting actress in “Vecinos” and another for best antagonist in “Bella Calamidades.”
Campos’ heartbroken friends and co-stars memorialized her on social media after learning of her death.
“My deepest condolences to all her family,” Argentine telenovela star Michel Brown tweeted in Spanish.
“A great woman, a great friend, great mom, great actress,” added Colombian actress Andrea Guzmán.
“Adriana we will remember you forever.”
