Oklahoma moved up to No. 7 in the new AP poll, following a dominate showing in Morgantown, West Virginia, Saturday night.

The Mountaineers dropped to No. 19 in the rankings and were all but eliminated from the College Football Playoff.

No. 3 Louisville lost a shocker on the road Thursday night against an unranked Houston squad. The loss, Louisville’s second on the season, dropped the Cardinals to No. 11 in the AP rankings.

Alabama and Ohio State remained in the top two spots in the AP poll despite both facing surprisingly contentious games against Chattanooga and Michigan State, respectively.

While the AP rankings don’t hold much weight in the College Football Playoff standings, the Sooners’ continued rise up the rankings coupled with Oklahoma State moving into the top ten could give some insight into w Oklahoma will fall in the new playoff rankings on Tuesday.

The Sooners also moved up to No. 7 in the new Coaches Poll.
