The first photo of Elizabeth Banks as iconic “Power Rangers” villain Rita Repulsa is finally , and it’s intense.
The “Pitch Perfect” actress ditched her blond locks to morph into the menacing character, who will appear in the upcoming “Power Rangers” reboot film.
Instead of sporting Rita’s viking-esque horned headpiece, Banks rocks a severe sleek ponytail accented with gold strips and wears a fully green ensemble complete with spiked shoulders.
“It’s definitely a modern and edgy re-imagining of the original Rita Repulsa,” Banks told People of her character’s new look.
The actress also said that she’s excited to play the character as she’s “Never played a villain before” and she’s looking forward to “World domination – and being unpredictable as a character.”
“Power Rangers,” directed by Dean Israelite, will hit theaters in March 2017..
